Speaker: Ronnie Beale

Ronnie Beale is Chairman of Vaya Board of Directors, the mental health arm serving 34 western counties. He has been instrumental in the development of
No Wrong Door, which now serves over 550 clients. This is the most recent of a life-long commitment to public service.

Ronnie served the residents of Macon County for four terms on the Macon County Board of Commissioners from 2006 through 2022, during which time
he has served as both Chairman and Vice Chairman.  Beale was voted North Carolina Commission of the Year in 2013 and served as president of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners in 2014 – 2015.

In addition to the board of commissioners, Beale has served as past chairman of the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce, Macon County Social Services, Macon County Board of Equalization and Review, Macon County Planning Board, Past President of the Franklin Daybreak Roary Club, and on the Board of Director of Entegra Bank for over 20 years.

Ronnie is the Past Chairman of the March of Dimes, the North Carolina Community Foundation and served on the board for REACH of Macon County. He is past master of Junaluskee Masonic Lodge and past ambassador to Shriners’ Crippled Children Hospital. He now serves on the board of the Macon County Fair.

Beale graduated from Franklin High School in 1973, attended Southwestern Community College, and has served as the president of Beale Construction since 1980. A Macon County business owner, Ronnie and his wife Cissy have three grown children, Cara Higgs (Bill), Evan, and Barrett and one grandchild, Leo, who is the apple of his eye. Ronnie and Cissy live in the Iotla community.
