Once again, America finds itself at a crossroads with nothing but the will of The People to guide her one way or the other. We are again reminded that freedom is, as the song goes, a constant struggle. As Frederick Douglass said, “it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake.”
