Our Sunday service thrives when we welcome diverse speakers and musicians. In order to keep our lineup fresh, we need you to reach out to orators and musicians alike. If you know someone who might be a great fit, please send them the appropriate form -

In an effort to maintain my sanity, I ask that the following form be used for UU View feature requests moving forward:

I'm so happy to serve this fellowship as Communications Chair, but keeping all the View requests organized has been a challenge for me. Please use this form to ensure all the pertinent information is captured for the View.

Our next fourth Sunday, monthly zoom meeting of Contemplative Dialog will be this Sunday. A topic will be announced at the session followed by 7 minutes of silent contemplation. We will then share our thoughts. Come join us for this open discussion where everyone’s opinion is welcomed and respected. We have much to learn from each other and our discussions enable us to get to know each other better.

I'm very happy to report that we have received the following message from Maethel's daughter, Martha Zeigler:
"I am Maethel's daughter. She does not do much with e-mail. She does take pride in being the last surviving original member of the UUFF, so please keep her listed as member. Mom is also very hard of hearing and phone conversation is difficult for her. If possible, please contact her via snail mail. She has had her second vaccine and probably would likely welcome pre-arranged visits."
So join me in writing and visiting with Maethel. If it's not handy, Maethel's address is 290 Red Fox Run, Franklin NC 28734. Her phone number is 828.524.5192 and I have had brief conversations with her on the phone. The email that Martha monitors for Maethel is maethlarry@aol.com.

Funny joke for the day: A minister had fallen on tough financial times...
So tough, that he was unsure of how he would pay next month's bills, or continue to provide food for his family. One day, in a moment of doubt, he prayed: "Heavenly Father, I am worried and uncertain, but know that you always provide for your children. Please, give me some words from your book to reassure and comfort me, and show me how you will take care of me in this time of need". With that, the minister took his Bible and placed it on his desk in front of him. He continued his prayer: "Let these pages fall open to the passage meant for me, that I may know your plan". With his eyes faithfully shut, he opened the Bible to a random page. He raised his finger above his head and dramatically spun it in circles "Now guide my finger, Lord, that it may fall on the words I need to hear the most". He placed his finger onto the Bible, and with some apprehension, slowly opened his eyes to reveal God’s plan.
"Chapter 7"
Mike Holland and Gene Brown have been instrumental in keeping the Sunday Services in operation for all to enjoy and learn. Due to the time commitments that this takes, it has taken a toll on Mike and Gene in their own spiritual growth, relationship developments and stress levels. Therefore, Mike and Gene have notified the Board that they need to take a break from the fellowship. Due to the timing that April 4 is an anniversary weekend for the guys, they have chosen that week to be the starting point for their recuperation. This Sunday’s service (March 28) will be Mike’s last for a while. Gene will be continuing in his role as Treasurer though June. Gene is also open to help coach the tech booth as needed however, Warren will be taking on the main responsibilities and soon, the instruction to others.
A temporary transition team has been created with several people willing to help. Worship Committee transition will be led by Marge, Brenda and Penny. Jim will be working with Gene to learn the Treasurer’s responsibilities to pass on to the next appropriate person. Warren will be leading the Tech Booth transition. Gene will also pass on to Becky T the list of security/passwords/passcodes.
Please be aware and understanding as we weave thorough the many details that Mike and Gene did within their responsibilities. We really do need your help to make this transition work, both is action and tolerance. If you are interested in helping out in any of these areas, please, please, please contact the person leading that effort.
There will be a zoom meeting this Friday (3/26th) at 7pm to continue work on this transition. All are welcome to participate. The link is: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84881749253?pwd=L3MwUVE2aHJPUUhvOTdaNkdxaERJZz09

Mike and Gene have participated in so many ways leaving open many responsibilities to be distributed to keep our fellowship running smoothly.

Truly they are appreciated and their participation will be greatly missed.
