Join us on Sunday, January 3rd at 11am

This winter of isolation and division is a good time to curl up with a good novel. We'll be celebrating the power of the novel to connect us with distant times and places, distant friends and relatives, and the compassion within ourselves.

John Snodrass is a Unitarian preacher, professor, and has written numerous books including the novel "Thirteenth Moon"

ometown Holiday Gathering REVISITED!

Several Folks have asked to re-watch some of the performances from our special holiday service. Here are some of those in case you missed it...

Joke of the week: "The Christians stole the winter solstice from the Pagans, and capitalism stole it from the Christiants" quote by George Monbiot. Apparently, there are some sneaky UUs out there that would like to steal the Winter Solstice back again.
Listening Suggestion: from Warren:  Could there be a proper New Year's celebration without Auld Lang Syne? Burn's song is in that a mix of English and Scottish brogue.  Are you sure you know what it is about?
First listen to this more authentic version:

One item that is rarely mentioned:  The melody used today is not the one to which Burns wrote his words.  I repeat: May 2021 be a wonderful and healthy year for all of you and yours!
